Why Learn Arabic?

Arabic is the native language of more than 400 million people, an official language in over 25 countries and one of the six official languages of the United Nations. It is increasingly valuable in business, diplomacy, trade and academia.

At Teralingo you learn Arabic with Amani Numan, a native Arabic speaker and experienced teacher. With the TERA method you first build a solid grasp of the alphabet and vowel system, then move to correct, fluent Arabic you will use in daily life.

Lessons are one-to-one and personalised; whether you aim for Modern Standard (fusha) Arabic or everyday conversation, the lesson flow is designed entirely around you.

Frequently Asked Questions About Arabic

Answers to everything on your mind.

Can I learn Arabic from scratch?

Absolutely. Our programme is designed for students with no Arabic and no prior knowledge of the script. We start with the alphabet and vowel marks, then move step by step into speaking.

Do you teach Modern Standard or spoken Arabic?

Both are possible depending on your goal. We emphasise Modern Standard (fusha) for academic or formal use, and spoken dialect for everyday communication.

Is the Arabic script hard to learn?

Not with the right method. You learn the joining logic of letters and the vowel system systematically and start reading in a short time.

How long does it take to learn Arabic?

It depends on your goals and pace. A2 for basic daily communication is usually reachable in a few months; a fluent level (B2-C1) is achievable within 1-2 years of regular study.

How are the lessons conducted?

All lessons are online and one-to-one. Speaking, listening, grammar and pronunciation are balanced, with reinforcement materials shared after each lesson.

Are course materials provided?

Yes. For every lesson we provide materials suited to your level, exercises and post-lesson reinforcement content.
